Lesson plans update from Greening of Oil’s publisher Kay Cashman

Greening of Oil was going to post its own lesson plans based on Abdulla’s trip to Antarctica with the 2041 group, but at some point in his journey he recommended we all spend more time on 2041’s website at www.2041.com.

It was there we discovered the finest Antarctica curriculum ever—much better than we felt we could create, although we do advise teachers to have their students read Abdulla’s daily Antarctica expedition log as part of their lesson plan.

“Coolest Curriculum,” as 2041 calls it can be found here: http://education.2041.com/ As described on the page, it is a “flexible resource containing lesson plans and a wide range of activities to develop the knowledge, skills and most importantly the values needed to preserve Antarctica and create positive change to protect the future of our planet."

“2041’s Journey to Antarctica curriculum is aimed at primary schools and in particular Year 5 and Year 6 pupils across a range of subjects. it is designed both to be followed as a complete curriculum over a half term or to be dipped into.”

Enjoy! Coming next are some great educational websites recommended by Abdulla.
