Four display advertising options

Greening of Oil, an online magazine, offers four choices for display advertisements.

1. Ads that link to educational videos run down the right side of Greening of Oil’s Home page and on 23 sub pages, including the Latest news page, which is the magazine’s Contents page. Only a total of 10 educational video ads are sold; five to 10 appear on each page at a time, rotating from top to bottom with each page load.

2. 3. 4. Banner, block and horizontal ads appear on all magazine article pages. Banner ads are on the top center of the page. A total of 12 are sold, but only one appears on a page at a time, changing with each page load.

Block ads are on the right side of the page, across from the headline of the story. Twenty block ads are sold, but only one appears on a page at a time, changing with each page load.

Horizontal ads appear under the block ad, down the right side of the article pages. A maximum of 75 horizontal ads are sold, but only 25 appear on a page at one time, rotating from top to bottom.

Three opportunities for more exposure

Advertisers with a 12-month continuous contract for an educational video, banner, block or horizontal ad receive the following benefits at no charge during that year:

Don’t miss the annual print edition

Beginning in February 2011, an annual edition of Greening of Oil will be printed and distributed in North America and around the world. It will carry the best stories from the online version of the daily magazine, and more.Its expected copy distribution via electronic formats, including paperless electronic reading devices and an online easy-to-read pdf, will be at least 200,000. Its initial print press run will be 25,000, with distribution split mainly between two readership groups—the next generation and people in the oil and gas industry.
